School Life and Life between Classes

Wednesday, June 15, 2011
Being a student, I understand the various stresses a student goes through during the intervals between their classes. Everything including health, celebrations, family responsibilities, stress, jobs, homework, and social pressure takes on to fill those gaps between classes.

These are just some of the aspects of a student’s life which affects them beyond the classroom.

During their academic careers, extracurricular activities and sports activities occurring in class offer a good purpose for a student’s life but these certainly fail to define the life of a school girl.

Right from the point of time when a student wakes up until he or she finally close their eyes to let their body rest during the sleep at night, students faces a lot of things which mainly includes studies, obstacles and success.

It is a general start of a student to rise as late as possible and run out of the door towards the school without having enough time to have brush their teeth.

However, many students, wake up early to do their other regular chores like helping care for siblings, spending time grooming, practicing music, exercising, studying, or many other chores.

Furthermore, the way students commute from their home towards their school may also vary largely just like the variations in their morning routines. Some of the popular ways of commute for school girls include school buses, public transportation like trains or buses, getting a drive, boarding, biking, blading or driving their own vehicle.

Just when a group of peers reach behind their desks in classroom, they begin their official academic day. While the lives of students may have as many variations along with uniqueness as there are variations in fingerprints.

Routines of students after their school are also very diversified just like their lives during the morning.

Some of the predictable after school activities include team and club meetings, social networking and gaming, co-op placements and part time jobs, babysitting, participation in organizations and trying to work towards greater good and so on.

Some students may also opt for eco-friendly initiatives, charitable efforts, Amnesty international, M.A.D.D., Cultural groups and Key Clubs. Some students may gather in groups because of their entrepreneurial abilities to create and operate in small businesses.

Some of the student-lead projects include Yearbook, Newspaper and e-Newsletters. Many students may decide to join some decorative committees and gardening clubs which will help in beautifying schools and surroundings.

However, today’s students are very smart and their interests and skills are so vast that each and every student ably finds out a way to get involved and to make new friends.

It is true that each student is unique and their uniqueness depends on their lifestyles they lead. However, students have a lot which is common amongst them.

Some of the common habits can be listening to music, relaxing with friends and playing games and sports and they cope up with the increasing pressure through these day to day life activities. Teens may also join some groups which exhibit common interest such as gaming groups, outdoor enthusiast groups, charitable groups etc.

Introvert students may prefer to join such a club where they will not be prompted to speak out so much while they still can fully participate. Such groups include photography clubs etc.

Irrespective of what group a student is a member of, every student really knows how to balance his academic commitments, social and family responsibilities along with stress-reducing extracurricular activities to enhance their life.
