A Google Chrome Experience...Danger Mouse & Daniele Luppi - 3 Dreams of Black

Tuesday, May 17, 2011

Aaron Koblin and Chris Milk team up once again for their latest Google Chrome experience, the WebGL film "3 Dreams of Black," promoting Danger Mouse and composer Daniele Luppi's Spaghetti Western-inspired album Rome. Visitors can steer through the entire dreamlike narrative, featuring video, 2D and 3D graphics working together through WebGL, all designed to show off the Chrome Browser experience.

To get the true experience of this endeavour you really need to download and install the Chrome Canary browser.

Chrome Canary is somewhat of a mix between the Chrome developer build and the Chromium snapshot builds. It can be run side-by-side with any other channel, which is a new feature. This means that it isn't linked to your other Chrome installs and can therefore run different sync profiles, themes, apps, and use different preferences.

The entire point of Canary is that you can install it and run it alongside another version of Chrome. This means that you could keep the stable version on your system for your real work, and load up Canary when you want to play with the new Chrome features that won't be released for weeks or months. For example, Google has just released Chrome 11, but Canary is already on Chrome 13.
